Rui Duan

Rui Duan serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Finance and Business Economics at McMaster University, holding a Ph.D. in Finance from York University.

Her research spans sustainable finance, climate and biodiversity risks, green innovation, cybersecurity risks, customer–supplier networks, and corporate disclosure. She has published in top-tier journals including Management Science and the Journal of Empirical Finance, with her work addressing critical intersections between financial systems and global sustainability challenges.

Dr. Duan actively contributes to academic discourse as a review board member for Corporate Governance: An International Review and serves as an ad-hoc referee for leading journals such as Management Science, the Journal of Corporate Finance, and the Journal of Business Ethics.
