Rudolf Valenta is a Professor of Allergology at the Medical University of Vienna (MedUni Vienna), leading the Division of Immunopathology at its Institute of Pathophysiology & Allergy Research. He holds a Foreign Adjunct Professorship at the Karolinska Institute, Sweden. His academic journey includes a medical degree from the University of Vienna and postdoctoral specialization in general/experimental pathology, with a focus on immunology and pathophysiology.
His research interests center on allergy and immunology, particularly advancing prevention and therapies for allergic disorders. He coordinates the Austrian Science Fund’s SFB F46 project on allergy research.
