Dr Ruby Roberts is a Chancellor’s Fellow of Industrial Psychology at the Aberdeen Business School at Robert Gordon University (RGU), with a focus on human factors, organizational culture, and safety in high-hazard industries. A Chartered Psychologist and member of the British Psychological Society, she combines academic research with industry collaboration. Her work spans oil & gas, healthcare, and renewable energy sectors, emphasizing evidence-based approaches to improve safety and operational efficiency.
Education includes a PhD in Psychology from the University of Aberdeen (2012–2016), a Master’s degree, and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She leads projects such as the Human factors in offshore wind: A scoping safety study and co-developed RGU’s first research culture surveys. Her research explores innovation adoption, psychological barriers to technology uptake, and organizational culture improvement.
