Rubina (Ruby) Ramji

Dr. Rubina (Ruby) Ramji is an Associate Professor in the Department of Humanities at Cape Breton University (CBU). She serves dual roles as Department Chair and Director of the Gender and Women's Studies program. Her research focuses on religion in media discourses, Islam in Canada, islamophobia, gender studies, ethnicity, and multiculturalism. She is affiliated with CBU’s commitment to Indigenous reconciliation, acknowledging the university’s location in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaw People.
