Ruben Marin

Ruben Marin is a Lecturer in Sociology with a focus on Criminology at the Department of Social Sciences, Faculty of Health Sciences, Kristianstad University. He is part of the research environment Individual Group and Society (FIGS).

• Education: Licentiate in Sociology (1999) from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA)

His research examines social and cultural encounters, social conflicts, marginalization, migration, integration processes, and human rights. He studies social representations of the police via social media and how young migrants mobilize resources in different contexts.

Marin's publications include works on person-centeredness, social structures, and analyses of social conflicts in Argentina, particularly related to the legacies of military dictatorship and media discourse.
