Roz Walker is an Associate Professor and Adjunct Associate Professor affiliated with multiple institutions including the University of Western Australia (School of Population and Global Health), Murdoch University, and Curtin University. Her research focuses on environmental health, infectious diseases, and early childhood development with a strong emphasis on Indigenous health equity. She holds a PhD in Social Science from the University of Western Australia (2005), specializing in Indigenous education decolonization.
Her expertise includes participatory action research and mixed methods approaches, collaborating with Aboriginal medical services and government agencies. Key research areas include Aboriginal health care, youth suicide prevention, and maternal health studies. She has received the 2016 Lifetime Achievement Award.
Walker leads or co-leads seven grants addressing mental health care models, skin infection trials, and fetal alcohol spectrum disorders prevention.
