Roy Williams

Roy Williams OBE is a Visiting Professor of Playwriting at the University of Greenwich's Faculty of Liberal Arts and Sciences. He is an internationally acclaimed, award-winning writer whose plays have been produced at prestigious theatres including the National Theatre, Royal Court, and Lyric Hammersmith. His extensive body of work spans theatre, radio, television, and film, with credits for Channel 4, BBC, and Sky.

Williams' research focuses on contemporary playwriting techniques and narrative structures across different media formats. His creative practice explores themes of cultural identity, social dynamics, and historical reinterpretation through dramatic works.

In addition to his creative output, Williams contributes to academic discourse through lectures and conference presentations on theatre history and dramatic writing techniques.
