Roy Ingraffia is a Lecturer in the Department of Historic Preservation at the Weitzman School of Design, University of Pennsylvania. He holds an M.S. in Historic Preservation from the University of Pennsylvania and a B.S. in Art History/Architecture from Hobart College.

His research focuses on masonry conservation, historic building materials, and architectural preservation. Notable work includes the conservation of the Astor Family Vault, New Orleans Museum of Art terracotta, and UVA Rotunda marble capitals. He serves as National Director of Industry Development and Technical Services at the International Masonry Institute (IMI), promoting best practices in masonry construction and restoration.
Roy is a Professional Associate of the American Institute for Conservation (AIC) and sits on the boards of the AIC Architectural Specialty Group and the Association for Preservation Technology’s Delaware Valley Chapter.
His professional practice encompasses projects such as the Maurice Sendak Mural stabilization, Nemours Mansion conservation, and Philadelphia City Hall marble sculpture treatments. He also leads preservation monitoring at the Pennsylvania State Capitol’s Barnard Statuary.
