Dr. Roxanne Robbin is a Professor of Art at California State University, Stanislaus, affiliated with the College of the Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences. She has held administrative roles, including Associate Dean of the College and Executive in Charge of the former College of the Arts. Her service includes leadership in accreditation, study abroad programs, and statewide academic governance for international programs. She co-founded the Art Space on Main and was honored for contributions to faculty governance and student service.
Her research focuses on 17th-century Roman art, including drawings, paintings, and portraiture, with extensive work in the Vatican Secret Archives. She has published in The Burlington Magazine and Storia dell’Arte, and curated exhibitions spanning contemporary painting to 16th-century prints. Recently, she discovered an unknown companion painting to a masterpiece in Hungary’s National Museum of Fine Arts during an exhibition on Corsica.
