Dr Rowena Archer is a Fellow at Brasenose College and Lecturer in Medieval History at Christ Church, University of Oxford. Born in Northern Ireland and partly educated in England, she earned her first degree at Bristol. Her academic career bridges the study of Late Medieval English Nobility, Women's Lives in the Late Fourteenth Century, and the impact of the Anglo-French Wars on women, with a focus on Christine de Pisan's works and Henry V's reign.

- Director of Cambridge International Summer Schools' Medieval Studies Programme
Her research interests include War & Military History and Economic & Social History. She supervises DPhil and Masters students and frequently travels to France for research and personal enrichment.
