Rowan Gollan

Associate Professor Rowan Gollan serves as Director of HDR Students and faculty member at the School of Mechanical and Mining Engineering, University of Queensland. His work focuses on hypersonics and computational fluid dynamics with applications to spacecraft re-entry systems.

Research Highlights:

• Developing Eilmer - an open-source hypersonic flow solver
• Advancing magnetohydrodynamic aerobraking for planetary entry
• Optimizing air intake systems for next-gen launch vehicles
• Investigating boundary layer transition in hypersonic flows
