Rossana Hu

Rossana Hu is Miller Professor and Chair of Architecture at University of Pennsylvania's Weitzman School of Design, having previously chaired Tongji University's architecture department. She co-founded the interdisciplinary practice Neri&Hu Design and Research Office, developing projects that integrate critical theory with global architectural production.

Her research examines how cultural context informs spatial design, with projects engaging historical memory and contemporary urbanism across Asia and Europe. Hu has held distinguished visiting positions at UC Berkeley, Harvard GSD, and Yale, exploring decolonial approaches to architectural pedagogy.

As Creative Director of Stellar Works and Design Republic, she bridges academic research with commercial design innovation. Hu serves on the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra's advisory board, connecting spatial design with cultural programming.
