Dr Rosie Read is a Principal Academic at Bournemouth University, working across social anthropology and sociology. Her research focuses on care work, volunteering, gender, and healthcare systems, emphasizing feminist critiques of undervalued care labor. She leads a NIHR-funded study on community organizations’ health impacts in deprived UK areas and recently completed a British Academy project analyzing pandemic-era home care experiences.
