Roshan Abraham

Roshan Abraham is a Scholar-in-Residence and AUx Instructor & Advisor at American University's Department of Philosophy and Religion. He holds a PhD in Classical Studies from the University of Pennsylvania and previously served as Assistant Professor at Washington University in St. Louis. His research focuses on religions of Greco-Roman antiquity, including ancient magic, early Christianity, and late ancient religions, with secondary interest in religion and comics.

Abraham has received multiple teaching awards including the Penn Prize for Excellence in Graduate Teaching and American University's Inclusive Excellence Award. He has supervised over 12 graduate and undergraduate research projects on topics ranging from digital commentaries on ancient texts to religious nationalism in comics.
