Roser Bono Cabre is a Professor at the University of Barcelona’s Faculty of Psychology, affiliated with the Department of Social Psychology and Quantitative Psychology. She leads the GEIMAC research group (Invariance of Measurement Instruments and Analysis of Change in Social and Health Contexts) and coordinates the teaching innovation project PSICOINVEST focused on improving research design instruction. Her roles include teaching courses like 'Foundations of Scientific and Professional Health Psychology' and 'Research Designs' at both undergraduate and master’s levels.
Education: She earned her Psychology degree from the University of Barcelona (1994), followed by a doctorate in Methodology and Techniques for Total Quality Management (1992) and a postgraduate in Psychological Research Methodology (1990), all from the University of Barcelona.
Research Interests: Her work centers on quantitative methodology, including longitudinal designs, mixed-effects modeling, and non-normal data analysis. She explores academic anxieties’ impact on learning and has pioneered analyses of statistical robustness in ANOVA and mixed models. Her projects address educational psychology challenges like math anxiety and perfectionism in assessment contexts.
Grants & Leadership: As Principal Investigator (IP), she led projects such as 'Comparing Mixed Models' (2016–2020, funded by the Spanish Ministry) and 'Academic Anxiety and Performance' (2018–2019, AGAUR). She co-led the REDICE-funded study on pandemic-era online learning (2020–2021).
Labs/Teams: Active in GEIMAC and the PSICOINVEST innovation group. Her research bridges statistical rigor with applied educational and health psychology challenges.
