About
Rosalyn Hatcher is a Senior Computational Scientist at the University of Reading's Department of Meteorology, affiliated with the National Centre for Atmospheric Science (NCAS). She specializes in boundary-layer meteorology and urban climate systems, with a focus on micrometeorology, urban air quality, and emergency response dispersion modelling. Her work integrates computational methods to evaluate urban land-surface models and pollutant dispersion dynamics.
- Research Projects (Current): APEx (NERC), Urbisphere (ERC), Next Generation Cities (CSSP China/Met Office/Newton Fund)
- Past Projects: DIPLOS (EPSRC), Airpro (NERC), High Resolution City (CSSP China/Met Office/Newton Fund)
Her research interests span urban climate interactions, model evaluation techniques, and high-resolution city-scale atmospheric modelling. She contributes to collaborative initiatives addressing urban environmental challenges and climate resilience.
