Dr. Rosa Andújar is a Senior Lecturer in Liberal Arts and Classics at King's College London, affiliated with the Departments of Liberal Arts and Classics within the Faculty of Arts & Humanities. She specializes in Ancient Greek drama, particularly the chorus in tragedy, and the reception of Graeco-Roman antiquity across the Americas. Her research explores how classical texts intersect with postcolonial identities, gender, race, and political discourse.
Education:
- B.A. in Classics from Wellesley College and King's College, Cambridge
- M.A. and Ph.D. in Classics from Princeton University
Research Interests: Her work bridges ancient Greek tragedy with modern receptions, focusing on Latin America and the Caribbean. Key projects include Playing the Chorus in Greek Tragedy (2025), The Greek Trilogy of Luis Alfaro (2020), and Tragedy and Revolución (2024). She examines how classical narratives are reimagined in contexts of revolution, migration, and decolonization.
