Ronja Heß is a Researcher at the Chair for Public and Public International Law at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU). She has been affiliated with the university since 2018, teaching seminars on German Constitutional Law and conducting research in legal theory and human rights. Her work bridges feminist/queer legal perspectives with international human rights frameworks.
- Education: Law degrees from FAU and Trinity College Dublin.
Her PhD project examines the right to gender identity across German Constitutional Court rulings, European Court of Human Rights decisions, and UN human rights mechanisms. She previously collaborated with Dr. Imke Leicht on a 2015-2016 study about sexual self-determination in Nuremberg and Erlangen municipalities.
