Ronghuan Xu is a Teaching Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil, Environmental and Ocean Engineering at Stevens Institute of Technology since September 2024. Previously, he served as a lecturer in the same department from September 2022 to September 2024.
Dr. Xu holds a PhD in Civil Engineering from New Mexico State University (2021). His research focuses on seismic response analysis of structures using computational and experimental methodologies.
He teaches undergraduate and graduate courses including steel design, reinforced concrete design, bridge design, geotechnical engineering, and earth supporting structures. Notable courses include CE 484 (Reinforced Concrete Design), CE 649 (Earth Supporting Structures), and ENGR 211 (Statics and Introduction to Engineering Mechanics).
