Ronald R. Lemon

Dr. Ronald R. Lemon serves as Associate Dean of Advanced Education and Professor in the Department of Dental Medicine at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) School of Dental Medicine. He directs the pre-doctoral Endodontics program and holds postgraduate faculty appointments in Pediatric Dentistry and General Practice Residency programs while serving on the Graduate College faculty.

Dr. Lemon earned his DMD from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry in Lexington, KY, and maintains Diplomate status with the American Board of Endodontics.

His research critically examines vital pulp therapy techniques and dental biomaterials science, driving innovation in endodontic treatments and pediatric dental applications. This work bridges clinical practice with materials engineering to improve therapeutic outcomes in tooth preservation.

Dr. Lemon has received the Outstanding Faculty Award annually since 2009, as elected by graduating dental students, reflecting exceptional teaching and mentorship.

As pre-doctoral Endodontics program director and postgraduate faculty member, he actively mentors dental residents and students across multiple advanced education tracks. His administrative leadership in advanced education shapes curriculum development and clinical training standards.

His dual expertise as a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics and materials science researcher establishes him as a key contributor to evidence-based endodontic practices within academic dentistry.
