Ronald Oldfield

Ronald Oldfield is a Senior Lecturer at Case Western Reserve University's Department of Biology. He teaches courses such as Biology Field Studies: Costa Rica, Humans and Animals, Ichthyology, and Human Anatomy, with a focus on study abroad programs and writing instruction.

His research examines:

• Biodiversity Conservation in North and South American freshwater fishes
• Evolution of Social Behavior, particularly mating systems like monogamy and polygyny
• Ecology and Taxonomy through fieldwork, lab studies, and museum collaborations
