Ronald Martin

Ronald Martin is an Assistant Professor in the School of Computer and Cyber Sciences, Department of Computer & Cyber Sciences. He holds an MS in Computer and Information Systems from the University of Phoenix (2005) and a BS in Computer Science from Augusta State University (1991). His certifications include GIAC Certified Incident Handler (SANS, 2009), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (ISC², 2002), and System Security Certified Practitioner (ISC², 2006).

His research interests focus on cybersecurity compliance, incident response, disaster recovery, and information systems security. He has published a notable work titled Promoting Cybersecurity Compliance (2019).

He has served as Committee Chair for Undergraduate Courses and Curriculum (2020–2022), Faculty Assembly (2018–2020), and Graduate Admissions (2017–2018). At the university level, he participates in the University Senate and FEA Evaluation Workgroup. Professionally, he is Treasurer of the Information Systems Security Association and Bsides Augusta.
