Ronald Ellis

Ronald Ellis is an Assistant Professor of Music and Director of Bands at The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), where he conducts the UTSA Wind Ensemble and oversees all band program activities. He also serves as Music Director for Walt Disney Attractions Entertainment in Orlando, directing the Toy Soldiers and Student Musician Program since 1993.

• B.A. in Trombone Performance from University of Central Florida
• M.M. in Wind and Orchestral Conducting from University of South Florida

His professional work spans wind band conducting, music education leadership, and large-scale performance program development. Presentations focus on transitioning high school to college music education, career leadership in music, and thematic approaches to band programming (e.g., "What Mickey Taught Me" at bowl festivals).
