Ronald Dick is an Associate Professor of Sports Marketing at the Palumbo-Donahue School of Business at Duquesne University. He holds an Ed.D. from Temple University, an MBA and B.S. from St. Joseph’s University. His expertise focuses on sales strategies and marketing for collegiate and professional sports organizations. Prior to his current role, he held leadership positions in sales at the NBA’s Philadelphia 76ers and New Jersey Nets, and academic roles including Assistant Professor at James Madison University, Associate Professor at the University of New Haven, and Assistant Dean at Marian College.
Dr. Dick founded Bridging the Gap, a sports marketing consulting firm, and established the Sports Sales Lab (generating $15,000+ in ticket sales revenue) and Bull Pen sales training program. He has received multiple teaching awards including the Rethswich Teaching Award (2025) and MVP recognition from Dukes Women’s Basketball (2018, 2022). His research focuses on practical applications of marketing in sports environments.
