Rona T Halualani

Rona T Halualani is Professor of Communication Studies at San José State University, where she has taught since 1998. She holds a PhD from Arizona State University (1998), MA from CSU Sacramento (1995), and BA from UC Davis (1992).

Her scholarship examines cultural politics and identity formation through critical frameworks, with publications analyzing Hawaiian identity, state recognition, and structural dimensions of ethnicity.
