Ron Piccolo is Galloway Professor of Management and Associate Dean for Strategic Initiatives at University of Central Florida's College of Business. He chairs the Management Department and directs the Office for Risk Management & Insurance Education. Previously Cornell Professor at Rollins College (2009-2016), he joined UCF in 2005.
Research examines leadership psychology, job design, and subconscious motivation, with publications in Academy of Management Journal and Journal of Applied Psychology. Highly cited works analyze transformational leadership, ethical leadership, and goal priming effects.
Publications span leadership ethics, family firm psychology, crisis leadership, and virtual team dynamics. Recent work investigates pandemic leadership and ethical foundations of customer loyalty.
Awards: Cornell Distinguished Teaching Award (2016), Distinguished Faculty Award (2012), Top 100 Influential OB Author (2018), Top 20 Cited UCF Faculty (2019), and Most Cited Leadership Scholar since 1990 (2019).
External roles include board membership with Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Metro Orlando.
