Ron Mallon

Ron Mallon is Professor of Philosophy and Philosophy-Neuroscience-Psychology at Washington University in St. Louis. His research integrates philosophical analysis with cognitive science to examine social constructionist claims, moral reasoning, and the formation of human categories.

Mallon investigates how culturally transmitted rules shape moral judgments and social classifications. His book The Construction of Human Kinds explores the cognitive mechanisms underlying social category formation.
