Ron Kaniel

Ron Kaniel is the Jay S. and Jeanne P. Benet Professor of Finance at the Simon Business School, University of Rochester. He holds honorary visiting professorships at Gothenburg University and Fudan University, and is a Research Fellow at the Center for Economic Policy Research (CEPR). His research focuses on asset pricing, mutual fund behavior, and financial intermediation, with an emphasis on how institutional investors impact security prices and market dynamics.

Education: PhD in Finance (1999, Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania); M.Sc. in Computer Science (1994, Hebrew University of Jerusalem); B.Sc. in Mathematics & Computer Science (1992, Hebrew University of Jerusalem).
