Romyche Pierre

Dr. Romyche Pierre serves as a Lecturer in the BSW Department at Morgan State University's School of Social Work, bringing over a decade of frontline child welfare experience to her academic role.

Her educational qualifications include:

• Ed.D. from Morgan State University
• MSW from the University of Maryland

Dr. Pierre specializes in practical social work applications with deep expertise in Baltimore City's child welfare systems. Her professional background encompasses foster care management, family preservation programs, intake & investigation protocols, and intensive family stabilization services. She further enhances her practice through extensive experience as a language interpreter across medical, educational, and legal systems, providing critical cross-cultural communication support in diverse service environments.

She currently instructs core courses SOWK 435, SOWK 334, and SOWK 436 within the Bachelor of Social Work curriculum, directly integrating her field experience into classroom instruction.
