
About
Romuald Boné is a university professor of computer science and has served as Director of INSA Strasbourg since March 2019. Previously, he led the National School of Engineers of Brest (ENIB) from 2014 to 2019 and co-founded INSA Centre Val de Loire through the merger of ENIB and ENIVL. He holds a DEA in automation and computer engineering (1994), a doctorate in computer science (2000), and an HDR (2007) from the University of Tours.
His career includes roles as lecturer, project manager, and director at various engineering schools. He has led digital convergence initiatives within the Centre Val de Loire Universities (CVLU) and served on steering committees for regional higher education planning. Currently, he is Vice-President of the Conference of Directors of French Engineering Schools (CDEFI) and Vice-President of Alsace Tech, an association of major engineering and academic institutions in Alsace.
- Research Interests: Focus on computer science and automation, with emphasis on institutional digital transformation and engineering education leadership.
He has received awards including the National Order of Merit and Order of Academic Palms, and holds an honorary professorship at the University of Hue.
