Romit Bhandari is a Lecturer at Coventry University's College of Business and Law, teaching Tort Law, Contract Law, Equity and Trusts, and International Law courses. He holds leadership positions as Lead of the CLS Forum and Human Rights Special Interest Group, and co-convenes the Critical International Law Reading Group.
His research focuses on forced migration, postcolonial theory, and the intersection of humanitarianism with refugee containment strategies. Current projects include a book reevaluating refugee law foundations.
External engagements include serving as a UN Migration Network Rule of Law expert and reviewing for the International Journal of Refugee Law. He received the ASPiRE Fellowship (2021-2023) from the Centre of Peace, Trust and Social Relations.
