Romeo V. Turcan is a Professor at the Aalborg University Business School in Denmark and an Adjunct Professor at the Trinity Business School in Ireland. His research focuses on the creation and legitimation of new sectors and organisations, late-globalisation and de-globalisation, bubbles and collective behaviour, high-impact international entrepreneurship, and cross-disciplinary theory building.
Prior to his academic career, he worked in public policy intervention across sectors such as power, oil, military high-tech, management consulting, ICT, and higher education. He founded and led a branch of an international NGO.
Romeo has held board memberships at the Enterprise and Parliamentary Dialogue International (2013–2019) and the International Society of Markets and Development (2019–present). He also chairs the Organisation of Moldovans in Denmark.
He is the founder and coordinator of the Theory Building Research Programme (TBRP), an interdisciplinary, inter-sectoral, and international collaborative research initiative.
