Roman Kvapil

Roman Kvapil is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Applied Languages, Department of Romance and Slavic Languages, at the University of Economics in Bratislava. He holds a PhD in Slavic Studies and has been actively involved in language education, focusing on Slovak and Russian languages. His academic career spans teaching and research roles in Slovakia and Russia, including positions at Belgorod State University.

His publications (2018–2021) reflect a blend of theoretical and applied linguistics, emphasizing pedagogical strategies, cross-linguistic challenges, and sociolinguistic analysis. Key projects include VEGA 1/0107/18 on color terminology and KE GA grants focused on academic language and digital education tools.

Kvapil has participated in international mobilities, including invited lecturing at Belgorod State University (2018–2019) and study stays at Charles University and Palacký University. He has supervised university teaching programs and contributed to national educational frameworks, including matriculation board leadership.
