Roman Jurkowski

Roman Jurkowski is a Professor in the Department of Universal History at the Faculty of Humanities, University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, Poland. He is an active academic supervisor and researcher specializing in Polish and Eastern European history, particularly during the 19th and early 20th centuries.

Research Interests: His scholarly focus includes the history of the Taken Territories (1795–1918), the Polish landed gentry in the eastern borderlands, and Polish representation in the State Duma of the Russian Empire (1906–1918). His work contributes to understanding socio-political dynamics in partitioned Poland and the role of Polish elites under imperial rule.
