Roman Gibel is a Research Fellow at the Chair for Foundations of Business Administration and Theories of the Firm at the University of Zurich. He holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Lucerne (2019) and previously served as a Postdoc at the Department of Sociology, University of Lucerne (2019-2023). His research examines organization theory through neo-institutional frameworks, focusing on transparency mechanisms, organizational misconduct, and governance structures.
Gibel's publications analyze institutional responses to complexity in organizations, with case studies ranging from international sports federations to historical exclusive societies. His current work explores anti-corruption reforms, meta-organizational responsibility, and the interplay between authoritarian leadership and democratic administration.
