Roman Beilharz

Roman Beilharz serves as a Lecturer in the Department of Music at the University of Kassel since 2010, concurrently teaching at HfMDK Frankfurt since 2015. His instruction spans media practice, jazz/pop harmony, and individual drum lessons, with consultation hours held Wednesdays 14:00-16:00 at Mönchebergstraße 1, Room 2006.

His educational foundation stems from studies at the Cologne University of Music.

With over 30 years of professional experience, Beilharz operates at the intersection of performance and media production. His creative work emphasizes jazz/popular composition for television (WDR Die Maus), film, theater (Bonn Opera, Wiesbaden State Theater), and cross-media projects through UVASONAR Media studio. This manifests in diverse CD productions since 1995 and expanded visual work since 2005, including music videos and educational content for publishers like Schott and Helbling. His practice uniquely blends drumming expertise, multi-instrumental composition, and sound engineering across stylistic boundaries.

Beilharz mentors students in drum set performance, harmony systems, and compositional techniques while maintaining active industry collaborations. His UVASONAR Media studio drives professional projects ranging from theatrical scores to educational multimedia resources, reflecting his dual commitment to academic instruction and real-world music production.
