Romain Felli

Romain Felli serves as a post-doctoral researcher at the Swiss National Science Foundation, a research associate at the University of Geneva's Department of Political Science and International Relations, and a lecturer at the ISE. Previously, he has held post-doctoral fellowships at the universities of Manchester (UK), York (Canada), and Basel, and has also taught at EPFL.

His research centers on socio-environmental relations and their regulation, with particular focus on the conceptual foundations of sustainable development, participatory practices, migration and environment interactions, the transition to a post-carbon society, and the international political economy of the environment. His "Ambizione" research project specifically examines the emergence and diffusion of the concept of "resilience" in international environmental adaptation policies.

His scholarly work reveals consistent engagement with critical perspectives on environmental governance, particularly examining how neoliberal frameworks shape climate policy through mechanisms like emissions trading.
