Rolanda Johnson

Rolanda Johnson is the Associate Dean for Culture and Connectedness and the Joseph A. Johnson, Jr., Distinguished Leadership Professor at Vanderbilt University's School of Nursing. Her research focuses on health promotion for African-Americans, Black racial identity, and the intersection of genetics with obesity and chronic disease. She holds advanced credentials including PhD, MSN, RN, and FAAN (Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing).

Research Interests: Dr. Johnson's work addresses systemic health disparities through culturally competent approaches in genomics, obesity prevention, and cardiovascular health. She explores how religious beliefs intersect with genetic counseling practices in healthcare settings.
