Roland Rathelot is a Research Professor at ENSAE Paris and the Institut Polytechnique de Paris (IP Paris), affiliated with the Center for Research in Economics and Statistics (CREST). His work focuses on labor economics, particularly job search processes, discrimination, and labor market frictions. He leads the INASHI project, funded by an ERC Consolidator Grant, examining employer information gaps during recruitment and their macroeconomic impacts.
He holds affiliations with J-PAL, CEPR, CReAM, and CAGE. His recent co-authored article in Polytechnique Insights (2024) analyzes gender inequalities in employment, building on Claudia Goldin’s Nobel Prize-winning research.
Roland teaches courses such as Applied Labor Economics and supervises interdisciplinary projects in economics and data science. His research combines administrative data and randomized experiments across Austria, France, and Sweden.
