Dr. Roland Beyer is a researcher and beam line scientist at Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf's Institute of Radiation Physics, where he also serves as radiation protection officer. His research focuses on nuclear physics experiments with fast neutrons using time-of-flight facilities.
He specializes in preparing and conducting experiments at the nELBE neutron time-of-flight facility and CERN n_TOF, developing data acquisition systems for neutron and photon detectors, and performing measurements of neutron transmission, inelastic scattering, and induced fission.
