Roland Beyer

Dr. Roland Beyer is a researcher and beam line scientist at Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf's Institute of Radiation Physics, where he also serves as radiation protection officer. His research focuses on nuclear physics experiments with fast neutrons using time-of-flight facilities.

He specializes in preparing and conducting experiments at the nELBE neutron time-of-flight facility and CERN n_TOF, developing data acquisition systems for neutron and photon detectors, and performing measurements of neutron transmission, inelastic scattering, and induced fission. Dr. Beyer also contributes to nuclear diagnostics for laser particle acceleration at DRACO and participates in the EURATOM APRENDE project.
