Rohit Verma

Rohit Verma is the Dean and USC Educational Foundation Distinguished Professor of Management Science at the Darla Moore School of Business, University of South Carolina. He previously served as Founding Provost of VinUniversity (2019–2023), Dean of External Relations at Cornell SC Johnson College of Business (2016–2019), and held academic roles at the University of Utah and DePaul University. His expertise spans operations management, service systems, and hospitality strategy.

Education includes a Ph.D. in Business Administration (University of Utah, 1996), M.S. in Metallurgical Engineering (University of Utah, 1993), and B.Tech from IIT Kanpur (1990).

Research focuses on operations optimization, healthcare management, and service innovation. He leads initiatives like the Cornell Institute for Healthy Futures and Cornell Center for Hospitality Research. His awards include Fellowships from POMS and DSI, the 2021 Excellent Leader Award, and multiple teaching and research accolades.

He has held executive roles in academic leadership, collaborating with global institutions such as Cornell and the University of Pennsylvania. His work bridges academic research with industry relevance, particularly in hospitality and healthcare sectors.
