Roger Landes is a Senior Lecturer in Musicology at Texas Tech University School of Music, where he has taught since 2009. He holds a BA in English from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, an MM in Musicology from Texas Tech, and is completing a PhD in Fine Arts/Musicology at TTU. Known for his expertise in Irish traditional music, Landes has received multiple teaching awards and founded ZoukFest, the first international camp dedicated to the Irish bouzouki.
His research focuses on the revival of English bagpipes and European dance music traditions, blending academic inquiry with performance innovation.
