Roger Chou

Roger Chou is a Professor in the Departments of Medicine and Medical Informatics & Clinical Epidemiology at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), and a Staff Physician at the Internal Medicine Clinic. He serves as Director of the Pacific Northwest Evidence-based Practice Center since 2012, leading systematic reviews in chronic pain, musculoskeletal conditions, screening, diagnostic testing, and prognosis. His work informs clinical guidelines for organizations like the American College of Physicians and the US Preventive Services Task Force. He also contributes to methodological advancements in systematic reviews and chairs the National Quality Forum Musculoskeletal Standing Committee.

Education: B.A. (1991) and M.D. (1995) from Northwestern University. Residency in Internal Medicine at OHSU, followed by a fellowship in Health Services Research at Portland VA. Board certifications include Internal Medicine and USMLE licensure in Oregon.
