Dr. Rodney Hurt is an Instructor in Teacher Education at the University of Mississippi's School of Education, Department of Teacher Education. He teaches courses for elementary and special education majors focused on special education.
With over 20 years of K-12 experience as a teacher and administrator, Dr. Hurt joined the faculty in 2021. His research examines school culture and special education teacher shortages, and he has been a member of the Mississippi CEEDAR team since January 2023.
He holds two M.Ed. degrees in Curriculum & Instruction (both 2011) and two EdS degrees in Educational Leadership (2013, 2014), all from the University of Mississippi.
