Rodney Guttmann

Dr. Rodney Guttmann serves as Professor and Interim Chair of Biology at the University of West Florida's Hal Marcus College of Science and Engineering, holding a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. His research advances Alzheimer's diagnostics through biomarker discovery and therapeutic strategies, with NIH-funded projects developing phage display assays for early detection.

Research interests center on neurodegenerative mechanisms, bioactive peptide development, and clinical trial design. His laboratory focuses on bridging translational gaps between basic neuroscience and clinical applications.
