Rodger Berg

Rodger Berg is an Associate Professor at DeSales University's College of Sciences, where he teaches General Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Laboratory Safety, and undergraduate General Physics to both undergraduates and Master of Education students.

• BS in Chemistry from Muhlenberg College
• Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from Lehigh University

His research interests focus on analytical chemistry, particularly spectroscopy, and he emphasizes chemistry education and laboratory safety in his teaching. Dr. Berg has supervised over 40 student internships in pharmaceutical and environmental industries and actively engages with local high schools on science safety and career guidance.

Rodger Berg is deeply involved in academic advising and community outreach. He serves on the program committee of the Lehigh Valley Section of the American Chemical Society and contributes to local organizations like the Exchange Club of Northampton as a board member and committee chairman. His personal life includes active roles in his church and recreational activities such as sports and bowling.
