Dr Robyn Klingler-Vidra is a Reader in Political Economy & Entrepreneurship at King’s Business School, King's College London, and Vice Dean for Global Engagement. She holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Michigan and an MSc and PhD in International Political Economy from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Her work bridges academic research with real-world policy through organizations like the Asian Productivity Organisation, Innovate UK, and the UN Development Programme.
Research Interests include:
- Entrepreneurship and innovation policy in East Asia
- Venture capital markets and their geopolitical implications
- Startup capitalism and its impact on industrial competitiveness
- Sustainable finance and ESG policy trends
- Contextual rationality in policy diffusion
Recent publications analyze the globalization of East Asian venture capital, geopolitical risks in semiconductor industries, and inclusive innovation models in Vietnam and South Korea. She actively supervises PhD students and has contributed to policy reports via Carrots & Sticks and the UNDP.
