Robyn Bourgeois (Laughing Otter Caring Woman) is an Associate Professor in the Centre for Women’s and Gender Studies at Brock University and serves as Vice Provost, Indigenous Engagement. A mixed-race nehiyaw iskwew (Cree woman), her heritage connects her to Treaty Eight territory, Syilx/Splats’in lands in British Columbia, and the Six Nations of the Grand River. Her research focuses on Indigenous feminisms, systemic violence against Indigenous women, and grassroots leadership. She actively bridges academia with activism, authorship, and artistic practice.
