Dr. Robin Tinghitella is Associate Professor and Associate Chair in Biological Sciences at the University of Denver. She leads a research group studying how animal behavior evolves in response to environmental change, with focus on insect and fish communication systems.
Her work examines how rapid environmental changes alter sexual signals and mate choice behaviors. Funded by NSF and ecological societies, her lab combines field studies with experimental evolution approaches. Dr. Tinghitella develops science education programs that connect graduate students with K-12 classrooms to improve STEM communication skills.
