Robin Shusko

Robin Shusko is an Instructor in the Department of Psychology at George Mason University (VA), and an adjunct instructor at multiple institutions including UMGC, Frederick Community College (FCC), and George Mason University. She concurrently serves as Director of College Public Safety at Frederick Community College. Her academic career follows a 25+ year tenure as a Montgomery County Police Officer (Maryland), where she held roles in patrol, community projects, financial crimes, and mentoring as a Field Training Officer.

Her teaching focuses on Forensic Psychology, Criminal Justice, Criminology, and lifespan psychology courses. She integrates her law enforcement experience with educational leadership to bridge academic and real-world applications in criminal justice systems and mental health dynamics. Current professional priorities include safety leadership at FCC and advancing educational technology in curriculum design.
